FOTD using mainly Illamasqua...

Thought I'd do a quick FOTD post today using mainly Illamasqua.

Here's what i used...
Face- Maybelline The Eraser foundation, Illamasqua Emerge Cream Pigment (under eyes), Illamasqua Cream Blush in Dixie, Mac Select Sheer Pressed Powder.
Eyes- Illamasqua Cream E/S in Crumble, Illamasqua E/S in Creep, Mac E/S in Carbon, Bobbi Brown Gel Liner in Black Ink, Mac E/S in Mystery (brows) and No.7 Intense Volume Mascara.
Lips- Illamasqua lipstick in Immodest.

I love cut crease eye shadow looks even though they don't necessarily work too well with my hooded lids but oh well! I've also really been enjoying The Eraser Foundation- i recommend it if you have dry skin.

I am unable to take photo without pulling a stupid face! It was too dark to get a decent picture of the make up and my face never co operates >_<

Illamasqua sales haul (and swatches)

I love it when Illamasqua have a sale! They are fast becoming one of my favourite make up brands and the sale is a great opportunity for me to add some bits to my collection ◕ ‿ ◕ Here's what i bought:

Cream blush in Dixie and Bare

Cream Pigment in Emerge and Liquid Metal in Resolute

and finally, a matte lipstick in Immodest.

I can't wait to try everything out- and once i have i will post some reviews.

Also i am an instagram newbie so if you are on there let me know, need some people to follow (mine

Lush: Melting Snowman Bath Melt

As a Lush newbie i was very excited to start trying out the goodies from my sales order. One of the first things i tried was the Melting Snowman Bath Melt which is very cute and even has little chocolate drops as it's eyes and buttons. As it melts in the bath it makes the water silky and milky (poet!) looking with a scent of cinnamon, clove, patchouli, benzoin, lime and sweet wild orange oils- most noticeable is the cinnamon & orange.

The scent isn't too strong although it did linger on my skin which was nice. For my first Lush bath i'd give it the thumbs up!

NOTD: W7 Salt N Pepper...

I bought W7 Salt 'n' Pepper recently when i saw it in a pound shop, i'd heard it was a good dupe of the Illamasqua speckled polishes. Unfortunately after 2 coats the base colour is still really sheer, so i'll definitely be applying a base colour next time i use this. The speckle parts are nicely distributed though, but it does chip super quick- even with a top coat.

Lush Sales Buys...

Having never ever tried Lush products before(!!), but constantly hearing about them on blogs i decided the Lush Christmas sale was a good time to try a selection of things without spending too much money!

I bought the Party Time and Snow Fairy gift set, a Fun gift box, the Melting Snowman bath melt and Father Christmas bath bomb. Fun was the product i most wanted to try so snapped up the Fun box which contains Red (mandarin and orange), Green (citrus), and Gold (shimmer with scent of Honey I Washed The Kids). Can't wait to try these!

The Snow Fairy set includes a mini bottle of Snow Fairy shower gel (had to try this after hearing so much about it), an Angels Delight soap (my favourite scent so far) and a Shimmy Shimmy bar.

And finally the Party Time set came with a bottle of Happy Hippy shower gel, Green Fun and  Snow Globe soap.

Can't wait to try everything out! What Lush products do you recommend i try next?

Etude House LUCIDarling Over The Rainbow Highlighter

I thought I'd do a post on one of my favourite highlighters today- Over The Rainbow by Etude House. Of course being Etude House it has the cutest packaging- a lovely purple compact with a pink ribbon design. Inside the powder is a rainbow design with 5 different shades that can be mixed together or used by themselves.

The powder is really creamy, and shimmering without being glittery. It's a lovely array of golden shades and it looks lovely in the summer particularly if like me you have a freckly complexion. I find this works nicely on the eyes too, if you just want to add a subtle shimmer without being over the top.
