Japanese Candy Kit: Kracie Neru Neru Nerune Double Apple...

I made an order with Oyatsu Cafe recently, as I've been wanting to try some Japanese candy kits for ages! The first one I tried was the Neru Neru Nerune Double Apple kit by Kracie. Neru Neru were the first type of candy kits to ever be released in Japan and is pretty simple, so I thought it was the perfect kit to try first...

Although the (really cute) packaging is in Japanese there are step by step pictures which are easy to follow.

First of all you have to mix packet 1 with a drop of water which makes a lilac kind of syrup. Then you add packet 2 and it turns pink and a thick almost foamy gooey texture :) It tastes and smells really strongly of apple hi-chew but with a fizziness. You can then dip it in the ramune candy pieces. Which go together really nicely.

You can then go on to mix in the mystery sachets that are marked with question marks. Once you add the orange sachet and a drop of water the candy turns a peachy orange colour. After adding the final sachet the candy starts to bubble and fizz like a witches brew (hence the witch on the packet!)

Personally I wasn't such a fan of the second flavour as it tasted really sour but it was a lot of fun! I got mine for £1.80 from Oyatsu Cafe and my order arrived from Japan in a week :))
I have also filmed a video of me making it here for my Youtube channel.
