Drop Dead Clothing

Drop Dead are a clothing and accessories brand based in Sheffield. Their designs are unique, fun and quirky. I'm often eyeing up stuff on their website, but their stuff can be a little pricey so when I saw they had a sale AND a lucky dip going I didn't hesitate to order!

From the sale I bought a Bite Me! ring £5.00 (was £15.00). I have a bit of an obsession with donut themed things, and I love this adjustable donut ring with pink icing and sprinkles. I also got the Fuun Koneko ring £5.00 (was £15.00), with wooden charm and adjustable band. This cute cat is a bit of an emblem for Drop Dead (and reminds me a bit of Luna.)

From the lucky dip section I decided to go for the accessories option of two mystery items for just £5.00. I got the Crescent Ring, and Team Death Socks which are knee highs. I especially love the box the Crescent ring came in, in fact I love the attention to all the packaging- including the ring boxes and envelope my order arrived in (bottom picture.) They put a lot of thought into every little detail.

They also chucked in some vinyl stickers for their current Itchy and Scratchy collection too :) I'm very happy with my order and will certainly be ordering again- I already have my eye on the vinyl figures and Neko hat in the sale section!

The sale & lucky dip is still going if you want to grab a bargain!

NOTD: Rimmel Sweetie Crush...

As soon as Rimmel brought out the Sweetie Crush nail polish range I knew I had to try them, they combined two of my favourite things: glitter and pastels! I got Candyfloss Cutie a soft pearly pink with silver shimmer and Violet Swizzle a pearly lilac with silver shimmer. Of the two I definitely prefer Violet Swizzle.

The colour pay off is really good, I used two coats but could have got away with one. There was a slight grainy texture to them, and they lasted pretty well- just a little chipping to the edges. Of course the worst thing about them was trying to get it off, always a nightmare with glitter polishes!

Korean skincare sample round up...

I have decided to make use of my ever growing collection of Korean cosmetic samples as I always throw them in a drawer and forget about them. I thought I would do some mini reviews of all of the samples I use so I can keep track of products that are worth a purchase of the full size product! Obviously I can only give first impressions as there is only enough for one or two uses...

Etude House Baking Powder Cleansing Foam Moist: This has a slightly citrus smell, and a strange texture-it's very thick and slightly gritty. The granules are very fine so don't really exfoliate although it does lather nicely and made my skin feel squeaky clean. A little goes a LONG way although I foolishly squeezed out the full sample but could have easily got a few uses. Unfortunately I did find it a little drying to my skin.

Tony Moly I'm Real Tea Tree Sebum & Pore Lotion: This is part 2 of a 3 step system. It has a faint Tee Tree smell to it, and is for oily skin which isn't my skin type. It is a thin, liquidy serum like texture which sinks into the skin quickly but doesn't go far- maybe due to the mattifying properties so it doesn't offer too much moisture. As it's not my skin type it didn't do much for me.

Tony Moly I'm Real Seaweed Aqua Moisture Lotion: This is part 2 of a 3 step system too. It has a very gentle but really nice fresh scent to it. The texture is very runny which means a little goes a long way- I got a couple of uses from that tiny sample! It sinks into the skin really easily and felt nice a refreshed. The seaweed lotion is for rough and dry skin, personally I didn't feel it to be hugely moisturising but it's hard to say with only a couple of uses.

Poundland Designer Nail Kit...

I don't know why they call it designer, but I am a fan of black glossy nails so when I saw this in Poundland I thought it was worth a try. The kit comes with 24 nails, glue, and the little stick thingy (I never use these, does anyone?)

Although there is enough for 2 sets here I have very tiny fingernails so can only get one set from the kit by using the all the smallest ones. They were easy to apply but I did have a mishap with the glue, which meant I had to pour it on my nails and ended up with glue all over my hands (and one of my fingers stuck to the table... I wasn't proud of myself!) The nails are VERY long so after I took the below pictures I did have to trim mine down as I hate the feeling of long nails.

(Note the glue all over hands). I think they look pretty good, and didn't feel flimsy at all. A few nails came off and had to be re-stuck the day after but then after that they lasted really well. For the price I'm pretty pleased with them and would recommend if you are on a budget.

Recent Bargains...

Recently I had a wander round some of the local bargain shops and thought I'd share what I bought...

All this lot was from Poundland. The Love Hearts candle is in the scent Very Vanilla and smells amazing. I got some cute Hello Kitty make up including a really intense black liquid liner, a Rimmel cream blush and a Sinful Colors nail polish in Pinky Glitter which is very sparkly. I also got some black glossy stick on nails and a speckle effect nail polish from the shops own brand to try out of curiosity. Oh, and Rainbow Nerds. I really enjoy sorting these out by colour which might be a little strange....

In the 99p store they had some L'oreal Japan products. I got a Revitalift UV block make up base, and a Go 360 degrees Clean Facial Cleaser with THE SCRUBLET...what a great word! I also got some more of the Yankee Candle Simply Home Range from Asda (£1 each) in the scent Bermuda Beach which smells beautiful (and ever so slightly like Pink Sands). Lastly, the adorable cat watch which was an Ebay bargain (just £1.63) and feels surprisingly good quality! (link).

Di Depux kawaii donut necklace...✿

I don't know about anyone else, but I am a huge fan of Etsy. There are so many talented sellers on there, I can spend hours browsing and adding cute things to my never ending wishlist! One store I have wanted to purchase from for ages is Di Depux, who are in Athens, and have an amazing range of kawaii acrylic designs.

Taking advantage of a 25% discount code (keep an eye on their facebook and twitter as they are always very generous with codes) and spending ages choosing I decided to order the Strawberry Donut necklace as I have a soft spot for anything donut related!

It arrived within a few days, and I love it! The chain is 20" long, and the donut is double layered laser cut acrylic. As you can see the top layer is glittery with blue crystals and so kawaii! The clasp also has an acrylic heart tag. The necklace feels really good quality too. (✿◠‿◠)

All orders come with a free gift and I received a lovely key chain (see top picture) as well as a 10% discount code that is valid for ever, and lots of lovely business cards and post cards. I definitely plan on ordering from them again soon, I've already got my eye on a few more things!

Their Etsy store is here if you want a look. ◕ ‿ ◕

May favourites and video round up...

I haven't posted a monthly favourites in ages! Seeing as I was in the blogging mood I thought why not?! So these are the things I've been enjoying using the most in May...

The Body Shop Satsuma Body Mist: This smells AMAZING! I'm not a perfume fan, so this is perfect as it's light and fresh ◕ ‿ ◕
Missha The Style 3D Mascara: I love this for an everyday mascara, full review here.
Benefit Fake Up Concealer: This took me a while to like but if applied with a brush I find this a pretty good concealer that lasts all day. It does slightly sacrifice coverage for hydration though.
Tony Moly Panda's Dream Eye Base: I love this as an eyeshadow base! Full review here.
Revlon Colorstay nail polish in Red Carpet: Ridiculously impressed with how long this lasts without chipping and I do love a good red nail polish. (◡‿◡✿)
Holika Holika Cheek Tok Blush: Basically my new favourite blush, full review here.

I've posted a video version of my May favourites here.

Here's a round of the videos I've posted this month....

A demo of this Japanese Poppin Cookin Oekaki Gummy Land candy kit... here
